Summary:

She should not exist.
He should not love her.

Claire Brennan has been attending Emerson Academy for two years now (the longest she and her mom have remained anywhere) and she's desperate to stay put for the rest of high school. So there's no way she's going to tell her mom about the psychic visions she's been having or the creepy warnings that she's in danger.
Alec MacKenzie is fed up with his duties to watch and, when necessary, eliminate the descendants of his angelic forefathers. He chose Emerson as the ideal hiding place where he could be normal for once. He hadn't factored Claire into his plans. . . .
Their love is forbidden, going against everything Alec has been taught to believe. But when the reason behind Claire's unusual powers is revealed and the threat to her life becomes clear, how far will Alec go to protect her?
*  *  *
Claire lives a normal life with her mother and is just happy to be able to stay at the same school, Emerson Academy, for the past 2 years instead of moving all over like her mother is trying to hide something in her past from Claire. Claire attends school with her two best friends Erica and Brian and together they do it all together. Strange things begin to happen to Claire and then Alec a hot young man is the new student at Emerson Academy and life as Claire knew it begins to change..
I really enjoyed this fun and easy romantic read. I loved loved loved Alec and how loving and caring he was towards Claire. They went through a lot together and watching how Alec really protected and would do anything for her was pretty hot.. I'm not gonna lie. ;) It was a little cliche and I felt like I had read this same story before in other books but it was ok and would recommend it to people who like stories about Nephilim and romance all in one. It was enjoyable and really a fun read. I give it 4 stars!
